About the comic:

"midnight coder" is, technically, about a computer geek. He has very little of what one would usually call a social life. He exists to sit in front of his beloved computer and hack into the wee hours of the morning.  Antisocial?  Not necessarily, though he would probably prefer a night alone basking in the glow of his monitor than going to a disco club or rock concert.

About the author:

I am currently a "junior" Computer Science major at the University of Massachusetts - Lowell. Technically, this is my fifth year in college, and I still have some time to go.  That's what I get for partying too much at UMass Amherst.

Though programming is my foremost duty, I love music, poetry, and writing. I enjoy listening to all types of music, especially techno, rock, pop/top-40, classical, and J-pop. The music I write would be most likely classified as fantasy/game music. Though I once took the term "video game music" as an insult, I now find it a grand compliment, thanks to my devotion to the more recent Final Fantasy RPG games by Squaresoft.

About the comic-author relationship:

"midnight coder" and I get along fairly well, though we're new friends. We talk to each other often. I invite the comic over for tea and cribbage occasionally. We spend most of our time telling jokes and telling truths. It is when the truths are funnier than the jokes that this comic shall spring forth in greatness.

It should be easy to see that this character, the midnight coder himself, and I share some common characteristics. And right on, bro. Every so often, I will throw in a few tidbits of my life, my opinions, my whatever-the-hell-I-want into this poor innocent eight-bit fool.
